This was a first project begun in a winter about four or five years ago. It is a Glen-L Super Spartan design.  Thinking it a 'no-brainer' that young grandchildren would be really interested in something like this, it started as a winter project in the winter following the rehab of Butterfly.

What I found out was that the young grandchildren have other interests likes phones and video games which took precedence  ----   when going from a 2hp motor to a 5.5hp all of a sudden caught their interest during their vacation at the lake this past summer. I think a 15hp motor on it this coming summer will generate even more interest and in fact this easy to build little hydro-plane appears to have become the center of their boat attention much to the chagrin of their sailing grandfather.
